Yellow Coach Model 1208 Trolleybus (TMER&L 124-163 series)
To replace streetcars on Route 14 (Holton Street Line) TMER&L
ordered forty new 41-seat trolleybuses from Yellow Coach. They were the
last trolleybuses Yellow ever built and were designated Model 1208. This
series had been designed by Milwaukee Electric and Yellow Coach engineers
working together. These vehicles were delivered during October and November
1938 and were numbered 124-163. The Yellow Coaches opened the Holton Street
Line to trolleybus sevice on 20th November 1938. Last Yellows were withdrawn
from revenue service in 1957.
