
Design of 6000-series cars was improved started from car 6135, which
was delivered to Tokyo in June 1949. Ten side windows remained on 6000-series
cars until September 1952, when nine windows layout was introduced (started
from car 6242).

The famous "Kintaro" paint scheme was introduced on Tokyo
trams in early 50s. It was inspired by new livery of JNR trains, called
"Kintaro-Nuri".

D10 trucks were used on many Tokyo trams, and even ten new 7000-series
cars (7021-7030), built in 1954, were equipped with these trucks.
