DDR1954 DDR ET-54 Power Car with EB-54 Trailer Car

ref.100These 2-axle tramcars were built between 1954 and 1956 by VEB Waggonbau Gotha in East Germany for 19 towns in the East Germany (77 Power cars and 150 trailers) and for Soviet Union (96 Power Cars and 105 trailers).

DDR 1959 DDR G4 Articulated Tramcar

ref.107First articulated tramcar in Germany was built in 1926 for Duisburg. Other vehicles were built in 1928-1932 for Berlin, Leipzig and Dresden. In the East part of Germany first post-war articulated tramcar was built in 1959 by VEB Waggonbau Gotha, classified G4 (4-axle Gelenkwagen). First G4 was delivered to Erfurt in October 1959. 1960 next prototype was sent to Dresden and in 1961 first serial trams were delivered to Erfurt, Leipzig, Magdeburg, Potsdam and Rostok. Leipzig was the largest customer for G4s: 118 vehicles were acquired between 1961 and 1967. At total, 218 G4s were built between 1959 and 1967 for East Germany and 101 cars were exported to Soviet Union.

DDR 1957 DDR T-57 Power Car

ref.1092-axle 22-seat tramcars, classified T-57, were built between 1957 and 1961 by VEB Waggonbau Gotha in East Germany for 22 towns in the East Gemany (168 vehicles T-57 and T-57E) and for some cities in the Soviet Union (337 vehicles T-57 and T-57E).

GermanyBelgium1952 Hamburg La Brugeoise PCC Tramcar #3060

ref149b.gif (11194 bytes)The only PCC to operate in West Germany was a Hamburg 3060 which was diverted from Brussels order in late 1951. It was placed in service in Hamburg in February 1952. The car was used only on route #8 and sometimes on night route #3. #3060 ended its carrier in Hamburg in November 1957; it was transported by rail to Copenhagen where it ran in 1958 for some weeks on route #7. Later in the 1958 the car was went to Brussels where it joined the fleet as #7000. This car was withdrawn from regular service in 1994 and then was repainted to original Hamburg livery and preserved in Germany.
