Danish1930 KS Copenhagen "Lunding" Power Car (502-531 series.)

ref123.gif (10655 bytes)In 1930 Copenhagen Tramways (KS) placed in service first cars of new series called “Lunding” because they were designed by the architect Ib Lunding. These cars had extremely successful carrier, remain in service until the end of tramway operation in Copenhagen on 22d April 1972. The cars were built in two series: No.1 (power cars Nos. 502-531 and trailers Nos. 1502-1531) between 1930 and 1938 and No.2 (power cars Nos. 532-618 and trailers Nos. 1532-1583) between 1939 and 1942. After the World War 2 all the cars were rebuilt for the “pay as you enter” system.

DanishBelgium1952 Copenhagen La Brugeoise PCC demonstrator (1958) #3060 (ex-Hamburg)

ref149cThe ex-Hamburg PCC #3060 operates as demonstrator in Copenhagen between 24th February and 18th March, 1958 on Line #7. At this time the KS officials have already accepted the decision to purchase 100 articulated trams from Duwag in Germany, so the car was went to Brussels.
