USA1939 Cincinnati Street Ry. Pullman-Standard PCC #1000 (Order W6580)

The Cincinnati Street Railway Co. placed order in January 1939 to Pullman-Standard (order W6580) for a sample PCC car along with the similar orders for St.Louis Car Co. PCC and Brilliner. Pullman PCC arrived in June 1939, beign numbered 1000. It was finished in CSRy usual colors of orange and cream with a light grey roof. Pullman No.1000 along with Brilliner was tesed on each of twenty-six routes in July and later this year was used in regular service on the College Hill and Madisonville lines.

USA1939 Cincinnati Street Ry. Pullman-Standard PCC #1127 (Order W6580) - yellow/gray/green livery

In 1947 car #1000 was renumbered as 1127 to avoid conflict with trolley coach numbers and repainted in chrome yellow color with green stripes to match St.Louis Car Co. PCCs. The dash lights were also installed at this time. Pullman PCC No. 1127 as well as Brilliner No. 1128 remained in service on route 78 Lockland until the route was abandoned in April 1951 when it was sold for scrap.

USA1947 Cincinnati Street Railway St.Louis Car Co. PCC (Order 1658; 1150-1174 series).

In July 1945 Cincinnati Street Railway placed the order to St.Louis Car Co. for 25 all-electric PCC cars. They were shipped to CSRy between August and October 1947 and were placed in service on routes 35 Warsaw - Price Hill and 78 Lockland, beign numbered 1150-1174. They had a blinker front door and push-open center doors. The life of these fine cars in Cincinnati was very short: in August 1950 they were sold to Toronto Transporation Commission together with other St.Louis Car Co. air-electric PCC cars and by November 1950 they were shipped to Canada.
