GM TDH-5105 (Philadelphia Transportation Co . 3500-3850 series).
As
part of the massive 1,000 bus conversion program in the mid 1950s, Philadelphia
Transportation Co. acquired 350 GM TDH-5105 102" wide coaches between
May and November 1956 (3500-3849 series). Extra coach 3850 was built for
PTC in July 1957 to replace coach 3600 which was destoyed by fire. These
buses had push type exit doors. With 650 96" wide coaches of TDH-5106
model delivered in 1955-56, these buses were the mainstay of the PTC and
SEPTA fleet for many years.

GM TDH-5106 (Philadelphia Transportation Co. 500-799; 2900-3249 series).
As
part of huge bus purchase program, Philadelphia Transportation Co. acquired
650 96" wide TDH-5106 buses in 1955. First 300 coaches arrived in
January-April 1955 (500-799 series) and 350 more were delivered in November-December
same year (2900-3249 series). They had standard folding centre exit doors.

1959 GM TDH-5106 (Philadelphia Suburban Transp. Co. 250-252 series; ex-Green Bus Lines; acq. in 1966).
In 1966, Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co. (Red Arrow), acquired three buses from Gren Bus Lines, Queens, NY for use on the new experimental bus routes and on the replacement rail service. These buses were renumbered 250-252 in the Red Arrow's roster. After acquisition of the transit properties of the Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Company by SEPTA in January 1970, these coaches went to SEPTA bus roster.
