Honolulu
Rapid Transit aquired its first GM TDH-5105 buses in 1953, when fifteen
coaches, numbered 350-364 were delivered, this order had an extra-wide
center exit door. In May 1957 HRT acquired 75 more TDH-5105s, this order
was delivered with standard width center exit door. These buses replaced
the remaining Brill trolley coaches in service. With this order, new livery
was introduced by HRT: turquoise with white roof, separated by goldenrod
yellow and dark green lower skirt. Last 5105's, coach 825 was withdrawn
from service in the early 1980s. (Information supplied by James Husing).
