USA1952 GM TDH-5104 (Fifth Avenue Coach Co. 2502-2551 series).

In November 1952 Fifth Avenue Coach Co. acquired fifty TDH-5104 buses from GM Coach. They received numbers 2502-2551 and were the very first GM 51s with double width centre exit door, giving it a unique appearance but a reduced seating capacity of 49. They were delivered in the simplified green and cream livery with dark green stripe below the windows and with traditional "Go the Motor Coach Way" slogan on the roof sides.

USA1956 GM TDH-5106 (Fifth Avenue Coach Lines #3100).

In August 1956 GM Coach produced experimental air-conditioned 96" wide TDH-5106 bus, it was placed in service by Fifth Avenue Coach Lines as No. 3100 and was purchased in 1958. This coach served as prototype for the longitudinal, U-shaped seating to the rear of the manually operated exit door yielding 45 seats. This floor plan and door were retained for remaining TDH-5106s and TDH-5301s. This coach is now part of the Authority's historic fleet.

USA1959 GM TDH-5106 (Fifth Avenue Coach Lines 2645-2694 series).

In July 1959 Fifth Avenue Coach Lines acquired fifty new TDH-5106 buses, numbered 2645-2694, they were the last TDH-5106 buses produced by GM Coach and were indentical to thirty Surface Transit Coaches of 3020-3050 series. These buses had push out exit doors and featured a protruding destination sign. The box was to house a florescent lighting fixture. They were delivered with "U"-shapped seating plan.
