GM TDH-5103 (Cleveland Transit System 3500-3630 series).
Cleveland
Transit System acquired 181 GM TDH-5103 coaches between September 1950
and May 1953, coaches of 3500-3630 series were delivered from GM in 1950-52
to continue the trolley line conversion. Coach 3629 operated in "Parade
of Progress" in April 1952. Very satisfied with new GM product, CTS
ordered fifty more TDH-5103s for delivery in May 1953. Coaches of 3500-3630
series remained in service until 1970-71, most of them were sold to other
operators.

In
1959 CTS began implementing a new paint scheme. While retaining the flavor
of the distinctive 1939 Loewy pattern, the new livery was white with robin's
egg blue with dark blue striping.

GM TDH-5103 (Cleveland Transit System 400-449 series).
In
May 1953 CTS received fifty more TDH-5103 buses to replace streetcars
on E. 55th St., they were numbered 400-449 and had a split window sashes.
As 3500-3630 series, they were delivered in attractive teardrop"
livery. This batch remained in service until 1971 and most were sold to
other operator for further service. When GM announced the TDH-5105 model,
Cleveland acquired 186 of them, first 75 arrived in January-February 1954
(450-524 series) and last were acquired in 1957.
