First GM TDH-5105 buses were exported to Canada in September 1955 (to Edmonton Transit System), the biggest Customers were Ottawa Transportation Commission (107 buses), Toronto Transit Commission (80 buses) and Montreal Transportation Commission (75 buses).

USA1956 GM TDH-5105 (Toronto Transit Commission 1540-1559 series).

Toronto Transit Commission acquired its first GM TDH-5105 buses in March 1952, when twenty coaches, numbered 1540-1559 were delivered, beign assigned to Davenport garage (1540-1545, for use on the Spadina route) and Eglinton Garage (1546-1559 for use on North Yonge and Eglinton West routes). These coaches had a single seats on the driver's side to increase the standee capacity. TTC was very satisfied with new buses and ordered 60 more, they were delivered in 1957/58 and were numbered into 2100-2159 series. These buses were delivered with wide centre exit door.

USA1956/57 GM TDH-5105 (Montreal Transportation Commission 2300-2324; 2350-2399 series).

Montreal Transportation Commission acquired it first 25 GM TDH-5105 air-suspension buses in July 1956 (2300-2324 series) and then bought fifty in 1957 (2350-2399 series). They arrived in the MTC brown and silver livery with red beltrail.
