GM TDH-5103 (Baltimore Transit Co. 1700-1730 series).
Baltimore
Transit Co. acquired its first GM TDH-5103 40 foot coaches in April 1952
(1700-1710 series) and second batch was delivered in January-Febuary 1953
(1711-1730 series). A delivery of 31 new big buses helped to convert the
#18 line from streetcars to buses. These buses were delivered in streetcar
yellow and gray colors and had a green glass standee windows which rapidly
turned clear. The introduction of the capacious design helped to give
the NCL team more leverage in looking to convert the heavier streetcar
lines to buses, and the remainder of the 1950's saw them doing just that
through further old-look bus purchases. TDH-5103s served Baltimore until
1975.

1953/54
GM TDH-5105 (Batimore Transit Co. 1800-1843 series).
Baltimore
got its first ride on air-suspensioned Old Looks in June 1953, with the
delivery of 15 new TDH-5105's (1800-1814 series), which were followed
in 1954 by an additional 4 units (1815-1818). Delivery of these coaches
helped to supply sufficient coaches to allow for the conversion of the
#13 line to buses. In April-May 1954 BTCo acquired next batch of TDH-5105s,
numbered 1819-1843 to convert the #32 streetcar to bus operation. As TDH-5103s,
they were delivered in regular streetcar colors. These coaches were withdrawn
from service in 1975.

1959
GM TDH-5105 (Batimore Transit Co. 1925-1949 series).
BTC
would receive it's last "Old Looks" in April-June 1959, when
25 coaches numbered 1925-1949 were delivered. These were among the last
TDH-5105's to ever be built - only 20 more coaches for Milwaukee would
follow the BTC order. These coaches were almost certainly intended to
replace the remaining trackless trolleys then in use. With this order
in 1959, the paint scheme finally changed. BTC replaced the NCL variation
with a two-toned green paint scheme. The standee windows were blue. These
coaches had a very attractive bright interior with pink and gray seats.
Last of them were withdrawn from service in 1980. Coach 1949, last Baltimore
TDH-5105, has been preserved.
Version with white roof may be produced on special request,
please specify when order.

1955
GM TDH-5105 (Batimore Transit Co. 1919-1924 series; ex-Knoxville Transit
Lines, acq. in 1957).
In
1957 Baltimore Transit Co. acquired six TDH-5105 buses from Knoxville
Transit Lines (built in 1955) and numbered them into 1919-1924 group.
These coaches were easily distinguishable from BTC's new 5105s by their
split window sashes. They also had roof front and rear marker lights.
They were delivered in NCL yellow with white roof and then they were repainted
in two-tone green livery. This group was retired from service in 1979.
NCL yellow & white livery may be produced on special
request, please specify when order.
